Querido Juan,

Cuando hace años visité el Kimbell experimenté una sensación de plenitud estética tan fuerte que nunca podré olvidar. Fue en el pórtico de la entrada de este museo donde me hice el selfie (años antes de que se pusieran de moda) que está en mi perfil de este blog. Al marcharme me fui pensando que el edificio tenía algo que trascendía a lo terrenal, a lo puramente material. Aunque Louis Kahn dijo una vez que un edificio es el resultado de inmensas luchas y esfuerzos y no de ningún milagro, yo sigo creyendo que el Kimbell es un extraño prodigio.

Este arquitecto fue también el proyectista de otros admirables edificios como el Hotel Jaragua, el Edificio Copello, o el Hotel Hispaniola.
