Three facts about my beloved Lasipalatsi:
1.It was designed by three architectural students.
2. Originally it was intended to be a temporary structure.
3. It is the first and the most impressive functionalist
commercial building in Helsinki.

Dear Linus,
The Latsipaltsi or Glass Palace was built in downtown
Helsinki in 1936 initially as a temporary structure.
Designed by three young designers, it is considered the
most impressive functionalist commercial building in
Finland still standing.
