Querida Cristina,

La expresiva "Casa de Piedra" en la localidad

de Guarujá cercana a Sao Paulo es un edificio

de claro estilo moderno con losas planas de

hormigón y vidrio. Lo que la hace particularmente 

interesante, además de su evidente diálogo con el 

paisaje natural, es el uso de las rocas existentes 

como parte de la composición consiguiendo 

así fundirse orgánicamente con el terreno donde se 

enclava.

Dear Tom,

This lovely postcard from  Ljubljana features

many buildings designed by famous Slovenian

architect Jože Plečnik including from bottom left

and counterclockwise the Central Market, 

St. Michael's Church, the Žale Cemetery, the 

National and University Library, the Triple Bridge, 

and the Palace of  Vzajemna Zavarovalnica mutual 

insurer.

This last building was a commercial and residencial

building designed in a style associated with 

the Vienna Secession and particularly with Otto 

Wagner's Vienna Palaces.

En esta vieja postal se puede ver en el extremo

derecho una obra temprana de nuestro admirado 

Aalto: el edificio del cuartel general de la

guardia civil finesa (Defense Corps). Esta es una

vista algo más frontal que la de la postal 2047 que 

envié a Cristina en mayo de 2022.
