1685. Bata Store, Reichenberg, Tuchplatz
Querido Walter,
R
1270. Bratislava, Hurbanove nám
Dear Janos,
Before becoming the chief designer architect of the Bata shoe company, architect Vladimir Karfík had worked in both Le Corbusier's atelier in Paris (1925-26) and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin office (1929-1930) in the United States. Later in 1938 he built numerous buildings for Bata including the well-known 16-floor Bata's skyscraper or Building #21 in Zlín used as the headquarter of the company in this city.
Best regards,
R
