Dear John,

This is a vintage postcard featuring an aerial view
of New Delhi including the Rashtrapati Bhavan or President House (on the left), the Central Secretariat,
and the Parliament House with its characteristic
circular shape resembling the Chausath Yogini
Temple, Morena.

Querida Ines,

Dear Tanu,

Of all the buildings Pierre Jeanneret designed after 15 years of intensive work in Chandigarh, the Gandhi Bhawan is without doubt his best known. This remarkable building comprises three separate structures under one big single roof and is the home of the Ghandian Studies Library. Its eloquent shape evokes a lotus flower floating on water.

All the best.

Dear Tanu,

"The materials of city planning are sky, space, trees,
steel and cement in that order and in that hierarchy."
(Le Corbusier)

Dear Aston & Eileen,

The Bahá'í temple in New Delhi was completed in 1986
and designed by Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba.
Although inspired by the lotus flower, its design is also
very much influenced by Utzon's Sydney Opera House.

Hope you are doing well.
