949. Como, Camerlata. La nuova fontana
Dear Luigi,
This temporary installation art in the form of fountain was
designed in 1935 by architect Cesare Cattaneo and
painter Mario Radice for the Sixth International Triennial
Exhibition of Architecture and Decoration in Milano. In
1962 it was happily rebuild in Piazzale Camerlata between
Via Napoleona and Via Varesina in Como.

948. Hotel La Rada, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Querido Martin,
R
947. Champs d'Aviation d'Orly
Dear David,
"...Modern technology lead to a new concept of construction, where each part of the parabolic form of the roof becomes an active vehicle of energy. Here the traditional architectural form of the box has been overcome in favor of a dynamic form of open space and in totally different way... — a new form of dynamic open space had replaced the traditional limitations of
architecture."
( Udo Kultermann. Architecture in the 20th Century)
I hope you'll enjoy this vintage postcard mailed back in 1925
Best.

Dear Santiago,
"If all of us now think, from where we are right here, of the old bridge in Heidelburg, this thinking toward that location is not a mere experience inside the persons present here; rather, it belongs to the essence of our thinking of that bridge that in itself thinking gets through, persists through, the distance to that location. From this spot right here, we are there at the bridge, we are at the bridge- we are by no means at some representational content in our consciousness."

Dear Alison and Michelle,
"It matters little if a building offers the most sophisticated
technology and services, if the humanizing ingredient is
missing. Communication is the product of perception, and
perception is the basis of change" (James Wines)

941. Nouvelle Mairie de Boulogne Billancourt
Dear Maria,
This is again the same building designed by Tony Garnier
in Boulogne-Billancourt. This view is a magnificent
frontal shot image of the rear administrative wing. Beyond
the highly glazed building reinforce concrete facade there
is a long three-story central atrium topped with an
extensive skylight also shown in the picture.
Best regards.

940. Boulogne-Billancourt. La Mairie
Dear Maria,
The Boulogne-Billancourt new City Hall was designed
by french architect Tony Garnier. The building comprises
two disparate structures distinguishably designed.
The first part is located in the front facing a public plaza
and contains the public area, while the other is in the rear
and accommodates the administration offices.
This postcard shows the beautifully articulated connection
between them.
Regards.

939. Isla Verde Airport. San Juan, Puerto Rico
Querido Alberto,

937. Basel. St. Antoniuskirche mit Pfarrhaus
Dear Gustav,
St. Antonius was built only four years after Auguste Perret's
Notre Dame at Raincy by the founding father of modern
Swiss architecture Karl Moser. This is Moser's most relevant
work and the first exposed concrete church built in Switzerland.
Best regards.
