Helsingborg Concert  Hall is the Sweden's first 

functionalist building as it was completed in 1932.

The building's interior including all public spaces

and concert hall still preserves its original character.

En esta postal se pueden ver el triple puente sobre

el Lubljanica y a la derecha la tienda de flores que 

principia uno de los extremos del mercado municipal

de la ciudad que se extiende paralelo al rio hasta el

Puente de los Dragones. Al otro lado del rio se puede 

ver la antigua tienda de tabacos. Plečnik  tiene 8 

edificios en las listas de Monumentos de la Humanidad 

de la Unesco (Frank Lloyd Wright también tiene 8)

Built in 1932 Helsingborg Concert Hall is Sweden's 
first functionalist monumental building. "Funkis" was
about not jut function but also quality of life and 
making culture accessible to everyone.

Dear Ivar,

The second  wing of the remarkable Hotel Continental
of Oslo was built in Functionalist style from 1930 to 1932.
Twenty years later, when a third wing expansion was
decided, the same architect was commissioned to
undertake the job.

1764. La Coruña. Vista aérea. Plaza María Pita, Palacio Municipal y Mercado de San Agustín

Una vista aérea de La Coruña en donde se puede ver 

en la parte superior izquierda la estructura de arcos 

parabólicos del Mercado de San Agustín. Esta obra 

está inspirada en edificios centroeuropeos modernos 

de la épocas y especialmente en Les Halles Centrales 

de Reims de Eugène Freyssinet.

Hermoso edificio expresionista el Siboney con sus fuertes
referencias naúticas como las esquinas redondeadas, las largas tiras horizontales de ventanas, las ventanas en ojo de buey, los colores blanco y celeste, como si fuese un gran transatlántico amarrado en Puerto Chico...

1671. Rothschild Boulevard, Tel-Aviv

Querido David,

A la izquierda de la foto se puede reconocer uno de 

los edificios que el arquitecto, urbanista y periodista 

israelí Salomon Gepstein diseñó y construyó en 

Tel-Aviv en la década de los años 1930 en estilo 

Bauhaus. Afortunadamente el edificio todavía se 

conserva en perfecto estado ya que ha sido 

recientemente renovado.

Querida Cristina,

Aalto hablaba de su famoso sanatorio en Paimio 

como un "instrumental médico" porque su arquitectura 

era para él una parte más al servicio de la curación de 

los pacientes que por el pasaban.
Este conjunto está en proceso de convertirse en parte de 

la lista de lugares Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la 

UNESCO.

This is an original card printed in 1947 that shows directions to the famous VDL house. When Neutra's office went up for sale he gave away this card to help potential clients and buyers finding the house.
