Dear Elena,

"The Hong Kong Bank was truly a
component building that was shipped
from America, Japan, and the U.K.,
and assembled on site. So in that
sense, it was totally prefabricated."
(Norman Foster)

Dear Jan,

"I like to believe that architecture connects the
present with the past and the tangible with the
intangible" (Richard Meier)

Dear Patrizia,

The shape of the windows recall the form of a powerful
elephant. The structure is supported from above. The
power from Above.

Sincerely,

728. The Night View of 63 Golden Tower

Dear Gunter

In Seoul we went to the world’s tallest art gallery located
on the 59th floor of the 63 City skyscraper. Just some four
floors higher there is also an observation deck known as
’63 Golden Tower’ where we enjoyed an amazing view of
this incredible city.

Best regards.

273. Sabugal. Portugal

Querida Luz,

fotografia"

Besos a todos.

125. The New Hong Kong Bank Building

Dear Carme,

The current HSBC building was designed
by Norman Foster and engineers of Arup.
The main characteristic of this building is
its absence of internal supporting structure
and that natural sunlight is the major source
of lighting inside the building. It is one of
the most expensive buildings in the world,
costing nearly US $1 billion.

Regards.
R
