the LUMA factory was built in Stockholm in 1930.
Until the factory closure in the 1970s the Luma lamps

Lobito, Angola is an impressive modern building well
adapted to the local climate conditions particularly
the night breeze from the sea. Its expressive roof

Querido Ramiro,
USEGO fue una Cooperativa de pequeños comerciantes
independientes suizos que llegó a tener varios grandes
almacenes logísticos de distribución. El de la foto es
el construido en Winterthur en puro estilo funcionalista
por el arquitecto asentado en Olten, Fritz von
Niederhäusern. Este arquitecto, bastante desconocido,
abrazó la nueva arquitectura cuando ya contaba con
50 años influido por la personalidad y obra de Karl
Moser.

Esta es una foto postal antigua que muestra
uno de los tornavoces que diseñó Gaudí
como parte de la restauración de la catedral de
Palma que acometió entre 1903 y 1914.
Esta estructura hecha para aumentar y
distribuir la voz siempre estuvo inacabada
porque Gaudí planeó añadir grupos
escultóricos con ángeles, apóstoles, y los
símbolos de los evangelistas, además del
globo y la cruz del Redentor.
El tornavoz se desmontó en 1971 pero el
arquitecto Elías Torres realizó una réplica
efímera en 2010.

magnífica de la fascinante Estación de Autobuses de
Londrina proyectada por el gran arquitecto
brasileño Vilanova Artigas. Destaca su expresiva y
valiente estructura que recuerda a otras proyectos
contemporáneos de Afonso Eduardo Reidy y de
Oscar Niemeyer. La estación dejó de funcionar con
ese uso hace tiempo, restaurada en 1993 pasó a
albergar el Museo de Arte de Londrina hasta la
actualidad.
