The five top floors of the Sokos Building, next to
the Helsinki Railway Station, make up the wonderful
Vaakuna Hotel. The incredible light features by
Paavo Tynell, that can be seen everywhere in this
hotel, create a delightful and intimate
atmosphere inside a functionalistic building.
In this vintage postcard one of Tynell's chandeliers
is featuring the double-height space of the hotel
looby.

en 1926 el icónico Palacio de Conciertos de
Estocolmo cuando se embarcó en el diseño y la
construcción de la sede de la compañía Tändsticks.
Este edificio es un elocuente ejemplo de la
llamada "Gracia Sueca" en arquitectura, una corriente
caracterizada por su estilo neoclásico en las formas y
profuso en detalles armoniosos y bellos.

The United Arts Center in central Fort Wayne, IN
was the only part built of a more ambitious arts
complex including a philharmonic hall, an art school,
an art museum and more facilities forming a projected
campus of nine buildings. Eventually only the Theatre
of Performing Arts was built due to a lack of funding.
This theater can be seen in the foreground at the center
of this contemporary postcard.

ver la antigua tienda de tabacos. Plečnik tiene 8
edificios en las listas de Monumentos de la Humanidad
de la Unesco (Frank Lloyd Wright también tiene 8)
