or "Iron House" finished in 1955. To the right and occupying the corner, The Academic Bookshop Building, that also houses the Stockmann department store,

designed between 1962 and 1966 and built in 1969.

Nationalgalerie (1968) de Mies van der Rohe, 

a la derecha la Staatsbibliothek (1978) de Hans 

Scharoun, y más arriba la Berlin Philharmonic 

(1963) obra también de Scharoun.
El auditorio para música de cámara 

(Kammermusiksaal) que existe hoy junto a la 

Filármonica lo construyó el colaborador de 

Scharoun, Edgar Wisniewski en 1987, después 

de que Scharoun ya hubiese fallecido y 

siguiendo el anteproyecto que éste había 

dibujado años antes.

Esta es una vista lejana de la esquina redondeada de 

los antiguos almacenes Petersdorff en Breslavia. La 

foto nocturna está tomada desde la calle Olawska y 

debía ser muy tarde o una noche muy gélida cuando 

se tomó porque no se ve absolutamente a nadie 

paseando por la calle. Por suerte el edificio sigue en 

pie y ahora se llama Rossmann.
