1017. Reader's Digest, Tokyo, Japan

Dear Koichi,

"Some of the most important factors in modern architecture are flexibility, mobility, adaptations
to varied uses; and I would add that all these
elements are capable of creating an atmosphere
of serenity and calm, life, and joy"
(Antonin Raymond)

Although the recipient of the third Annual Award
offered by the Architectural Institute of Japan, the Reader's Digest Tokyo headquarters office building
was wistfully demolished in 1963.

Gratefully,
R
