Noble cuya rehabilitación la llevó a cabo el 

arquitecto navarro Francisco Patxi Mangado.

"A veces me preguntan qué tipo de arquitectura 

creo: ¿Es una arquitectura que se centra en lo 

posible y en resolver problemas, o es una 

arquitectura que inspira belleza? Es un 

concepto discutible. Realmente necesita ser 

ambas cosas a la vez. No puede haber belleza 

arquitectónica sin ofrecer una respuesta a

2424. Pieštany - Hotel Eden a Excelsior

 

Querida Lucía,  

Pavel Weisz, arquitecto eslovaco que estudió en 

Berlín y trabajó en la Unión Soviética regresó a su 

país donde ejerció como arquitecto funcionalista. 

Entre sus obras más significativas se encuentran 

los vecinos Hotel Excelsior y Hotel Eden en la 

ciudad natal del arquitecto Piešťany.

Dear Rachel,

The Science and Humanities Wing (sometimes 

referred to as the Andrews Building) at U of T

Scarborough was designed by Australian architect

John Andres. The building's unique brutalist 

architecture has been the backdrop for many tv and 

film shoots over the years, most notably Total Recall, 

The Shape of Water, Resident Evil, and a music video 

for Scarborough's own The Weeknd.

Querida Cristina,

Esta postal la compré en Helsinki y muestra la primera 

obra que Aalto llevó a cabo fuera de Finlandia.

Se construyó en 1932 para un profesor de Geografía

que Aalto había conocido cuando vivía en Turku.

La Villa Tammekann muestra una clara apariencia

funcionalista típica de la primera fase de la corriente

modernista internacional.
