The Hotel Pallastunturi in Lapland, Finland was a
monument to functionalism built in remote Lapland.
The hotel furniture was designed by the Aaltos and
made by Artek. The building was destroyed by the
Nazis in October 1944.

Aqui te mando una postal del hipódromo de La
Rinconada en Caracas, Venezuela. El reconocido
arquitecto y paisajista brasileño Robert Burle Marx fue
el encargado de diseñar el centro rodeado de las pistas
de carreras y los jardines exteriores a las gradas. La
geometría suelta y el alegre colorido es típico del
talento de este gran diseñador.

La interesante iglesia de San Bernardo Calbó se
construyó en 1957 y fué demolida en 2017 debido
a un alarmante patología de carbonatación. Su
arquitecto, Josep Soteras es autor también de la
Iglesia de Santa Tecla, edificio neorracionalista en
la avenida de Madrid de Barcelona.

Siedlung Römerstadt is a famous housing estate including
more than 1200 residential units, about half of them
apartment units and the other half terraced family housing.
The estate was planned by Ernst May and the housing
designed by Carl-Hermann Rudloff between 1925 and 1929.
The general layout resembles somehow the one for the
siedlung Törten in Dessau designed by Walter Gropius.
