A rare back side view of the Stora Enso's Headquarter.

This was one of the most controversial Alvar Aalto's

buildings in Helsinki due to its location between the 

neoclassical Market Square and the big and red Uspenski 

Cathedral of the Orthodox Church.

Querido Jose,

La Iglesia de planta elíptica de la Universidad 

Laboral de Gijón es una de las  más grandes 

de este tipo del mundo.

Es conocida la anécdota de que su arquitecto, 

el madrileño Luis Moya Blanco, organizó una 

comida familiar debajo de la cúpula el día que 

se retiraban los andamios auxiliares de apoyo para 

tranquilizar a aquellos que temían que colapsaría

por su excesivo peso y luz. Esta anécdota me 

recuerda la de Frank Lloyd Wright con su 

desmesurada prueba de carga de los pilares del 

edificio de administración de la Johnson Wax, Inc 

en Racine, Wisconsin.

Dear Max,

This is a vintage postcard showing an exterior view

of the Grosses Schauspielhaus also known by Berliners 

as the "Stalactite Grotto". This extraordinary building 

that was demolished in 1988 was the only Expressionist project built by Hans Poelzig using his own formal language.

Señora de la Misericordia en Baranzate a 7 kilómetros

de Milán. La iglesia, muy vanguardista en su época, es 

conocida popularmente como la iglesia de cristal y fue 

construida en los años 1950 con hormigón pretensado, 

elementos prefabricados y cristal. En 2018 fue 

restaurada y consagrada después de una largo proceso

de renovación.

were built between 1937 and 1954. The residential

here. Nelson Mandela was disguised as his driver when 

captured on 5 August 1962"
